FAQ
What is a Hamstery?
A hamstery is just a fun name for a hamster breeder. Kind of like a rattery for a rat breeder, a mousery for a fancy mice breeder, or a rodentry, for someone who specializes in more than one species of rodent.
What kind of hamster is Phodopus Roborovski?
Roborovski are the smallest hamster species kept as a pet, and they are known for their lack of tameness. They are round, furry little balls of speed! Plus, they have a very cute, boxy face, unlike mice. They have adorable, fuzzy feet under all that pudge, and a tiny little tail that barely sticks out. Their eyes have a cute roundness to them, and in some well bred ones, you can see their beautiful lashes.
So, Why Roborovski hamsters?
I have owned lots of different kinds of rodents. Personally, Roborovski's are some of the cutest hamsters out there, however they are the least tame and it shows by how people treat them. Many people assume they are a look and do not touch pet, but I am here to tell you that that does not have to be the case, and that my goal is to breed that skittish, spontaneous anxiety out of them to the point where pet owners can actually hold, and love their hamsters just as can be done with the Syrian and Campbell species of hamsters.

If you would like to learn more about the species, or are interested in adopting from my hamstery, please follow my page and check out my posts! I will be updating my blog soon to discuss adoptions, plus making a dedicated page just for pictures.
